Cobio Diagnostics Secures $2.2 Million NIH Grant to Advance Rapid Infection Testing

Cobio Diagnostics, a member of Fitzsimons Innovation Community, has received a $2.2 million Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Fast-Track grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to advance its rapid diagnostic technology for urinary tract infections.

The funding will support development of a diagnostic test designed to identify infection-causing bacteria directly from patient samples in seven hours or less, potentially reducing the time clinicians need to make treatment decisions. The award represents an important step toward commercialization of technology that could improve patient care and clinical efficiency.
