Appointment aligns with the Community’s next phase of transformational growth
AURORA, Colo. (July 8, 2025) – Fitzsimons Innovation Community, a thriving hub where researchers, practitioners, educators, and innovators collaborate to bring life-changing healthcare solutions to patients, today announces the appointment of Kenneth Ho as Chief Operating Officer. A highly respected real estate developer with more than 25 years of experience, Ho will play a pivotal role in bringing the Community’s ambitious Master Plan to life.
Fitzsimons Innovation Community is home to around 80 companies working on breakthrough discoveries alongside nationally ranked hospitals, medical schools, and research facilities on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Ho’s appointment follows last month’s approval of Fitzsimons Innovation Community’s General Development Plan (GDP) by the Aurora Planning Commission and the Aurora City Council, an important milestone in the evolution of the campus.
The Master Plan envisions a vibrant, mixed-use community home to more than 7,000 residential units alongside continued development of additional research and laboratory space, with added retail, entertainment, and dining options that round out the live-work-play model. The new vision creates a downtown-style urban environment where innovators can live, work, research, and collaborate within a single community devoted to advancing health.
Kelly Jean Brough, President and CEO of Fitzsimons Innovation Community, said, “With the approval of our Master Plan, the path is clear for us to accelerate implementation of our vision for the future. There is nobody better to lead this work and take the next step in transforming Fitzsimons into a hub for health than Kenneth. He not only embraces community but believes we should build in a manner that strengthens neighborhoods and fosters deeper connections.”
Kenneth Ho, Chief Operating Officer of Fitzsimons Innovation Community, said, “I’m honored to join Fitzsimons Innovation Community at such a pivotal moment. The vision for this campus aligns with my passion for strengthening communities through thoughtful revitalization from housing to parks and community gathering spaces.”
