GelSana Therapeutics, a member of Fitzsimons Innovation Community, has announced that two research collaborators, Babita Parajuli and Dr. Amy Wang, received the 2026 Robert B. Lindberg Basic Scientist Paper Award from the American Burn Association for research evaluating GelSana’s CleraFlex wound care technology.
The award recognizes research demonstrating that CleraFlex significantly reduced bacterial burden and inflammation in an experimental burn wound infection model without the use of traditional antimicrobial drugs. Conducted by researchers affiliated with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and military research institutions, the findings highlight the technology’s potential to improve wound care in military and civilian settings, particularly where access to immediate medical treatment is limited.
